Orlando City SC Part Ways With JOC

Orlando City has fired head coach James O'Connor after a poor end to the season. You can't say you didn't see this coming. I'm sad that it didn't work out but this is another smart move from Muzzi. He didn't wait until May or June of next season to do this. He did it now when we have the whole offseason to rebuild. We also don't have too much more to rebuild. We have to get our offense strengthened, some good depth around the squad, and maybe a starting CB alongside Jansson. Expect a lot of roster changes, but our starting Xl shouldn't be TOO different than last year.

Whoever the next coach may be, they need to get it right this time around. We can't go after another JOC type coach who doesn't have experience. We need someone who can come in and get the job done. My wish is Mikel Arteta (asst. coach at Man City) or ex Valencia manager Marcelino. I doubt either of those will happen, but we need someone to come in here and make this promising team deliver.

I have to go to work but a podcast will be out tonight with more on this.
