Orlando City Back in for Florinel Coman?

According to @Emishor on Twitter, Orlando City have tabled another offer for FCSB winger Florinel Coman. This comes off the back of an offer in February where Orlando City reportedly offered $9.7 million for 40% of his rights but this offer was rejected. In a recent report, the club owner Gigi Becali is quoted as saying that he made some changes to his demands. Translated from Romanian, Becali said "I told them I do not accept and I made some changes to their offer, it was 50 - 50, I made changes, I gave them 60, I 40. I want 9 million on 60%." Becali also revealed that we want Coman in the summer transfer window and would offer him a 3 and a half year contract.

While signing Coman would be huge for us, I don't know if it is the safest financial decision at this time. He would smash our club record and that's not something we should be looking to do right now. Every economic market, including the soccer market, is going to struggle and dropping a big chunk of money on a player who won't yield a massive profit seems unwise. While we need a player of his quality, the finances might just be too much at this moment in time.
