Daily Update: 12/27/2019

Another busy and exciting day in the world of Orlando City. Especially for me. Let's get started.

German Cano (@ascampello)

Let's get this out of the way first. German Cano will play for Vasco De Gama next season. He was announced tonight after I reported that he would play in Brazil earlier today. My guess is we either stopped chasing because we couldn't get Dwyer off the books (it isn't smart squad building to have two $1 million-plus salary players in the same position) OR he simply wanted a more competitive league. Either way, plan B is upon us. I hope we go after a RW like Julian Quinones but the FO seems fixated on a ST. We will have to wait and see.

Pedro Gallese (@jlara18)

Like I said yesterday: another day, another GK. This one is a bit more realistic than yesterdays though. Today we have Peruvian International GK Pedro Gallese. The 29-year-old currently plays for Alianza Lima, but his contract runs out on 12/31/2019 (that's in like 4 days). He is already reported to not be re-signing with his club and wants to move his family to the United States. He is one of the top GK's in South America (a starter for his national team) and would be one of the best GK's in the league from the moment he joins. The best part about the rumor is that multiple reports are coming from different people. That always means there is some sort of smoke. We will see what happens. I for one would be EXTREMELY excited should he come and you should too.

Giveaway (me)

I hit 200 followers on Twitter today and to say thank you to all my supporters, I will be doing another giveaway. It will be easy to enter and it will be announced on December 30th. I will put a post up after this is released and all you have to do is follow the instructions. A massive thank you to all who are reading this for supporting the blog. I'm very excited for what's to come.

'Til next time, this has been Gavin Rushnell and #VamosOrlando.
