Transfer Shortlist: Center Backs

Alright, guys. Now that we got the strikers out of the way, it's now time to look into the CB's who I think we should be looking at. I've got another list of 10 or so names of players who could come in and partner up with Jansson should Sane and the club fail to renegotiate a lower salary contract. Again, these players are purely based on stats and whatever youtube clips I could find.

*Every one of these players is right-footed and would play at the RCB position in our starting lineup.

Here's the order for CB's:

Name - team, age, height, contract ending date, tackles per game, interceptions per game, clearances per game.

All stats are from the current season. Let's get straight into it.

Shortlist

Pedro Henrique - CA Paranaense, 24 y/o, 6'2, 12/31/2021, 1.7 TPG, 1.3 IPG, 4.5 CPG

Bruno Valdez - CF America, 26 y/o, 6'0, 6/30/2020, 1.5 TPF, 0.5 IPG. 4 CPG

Gustavo Henrique - Santos, 26 y/o, 6'5, 1/31/2020, 1 TPG, 1.4 IPG, 4 CPG

Nelson Monte - Rio Ave, 24 y/o, 6'1, 6/30/2020, 0.7 TPG, 1.6 IPG, 2.9 CPG

Daniel Hoegh - Heerenveen, 28 y/o, 6'2, 6/30/2020, ** 1.2 TPG, 1 IPG, 6.2 CPG

Arturo Mina - Malatyaspor, 29 y/o, 6'2, 6/30/2020, 0.8 TPG, 1.2 IPG, 4.2 CPG

Shogo Taniguchi - Kawasaki Frontale, 28 y/o, 5'11, 1/31/2020, https://youtu.be/P8njQcxafCc

(no stats available)

Daniel Steres - LA Galaxy, 28 y/o, 6'0, 12/31/2019, 0.7 TPG, 1.4 IPG, 4 CPG

Cesar Montes - Monterrey, 22 y/o, 6'3, 6/30/2020, https://youtu.be/d9yz9o9fNlo (no stats available)

**stats from last season, he has started this season with an injury.

Player of the Shortlist

Shogo Taniguchi is the player I'd love to see join us, however unlikely it is. He probably isn't even the best on the shortlist but from what I've seen he has an amazing range of passing, is decent at tackling, and reads the game very well. He is a starting CB at a club with almost the same exact market value as ours over in Japan.

That is my other positive about him. He'd help to market this club. In the same way a Peruvian might come out to see Ascues play, a Japanese person could tune in or come out to our games to watch a player from their country perform. His contract ends at the end of January so if we attempted to buy him, we could get him at a very cheap price.

Other Players to Watch

Steres - out of contract but will probably be re-signed

Gustavo Henrique - out of contract at the end of January, very tall, good on the ball, and plays smart defense.

Let me know your thought's guys!
