I am a massive fan of this pick. Big. Powerful. Prolific. He will need to show that he can cope with MLS defenders but we have gotten one of the best players in the draft at # 5. Well done to the front office in getting Dike to the team.
Orlando City selects Joey DeZart out of Wake Forest as the 31st pick in the MLS SuperDraft.
That round FLEW by. I'm really happy we got a midfielder in as I felt we needed someone who could step in and do a job once the fixtures start to pile up. Hopefully Joey DeZart can be that guy for us. I can't wait to see how he develops under Pareja.
Orlando City selects Jonathan Dean out of UCF as the 39th pick in the MLS SuperDraft.
Orlando has gone local here and gotten Jonathan Dean out of UCF. Another midfielder has been added to the roster here and will look to battle with DeZart for that 5th spot. He can also play in defense. That versatility may be key in the summer months and we could see a lot more of him than we think.
Orlando City selects Austin Aviza out of Providence as the 44th pick in the MLS SuperDraft.
That answers our third-string GK question. I doubt we will see a lot of Austin but is for some reason Rowe is injured when Gallese is on INT duty this summer, he will be called in between the post.
I think the front office has done well today. DeZart and Dean are seen as 2 of the best round two picks according to @SoccerByIves on Twitter. Hopefully all of these guys can come in and battle for a place in the final roster.
