Orlando City played the Tampa Bay Rowdies today in a closed-door preseason friendly. The game ended 2-1 after a second-half comeback from the Lions saw 18-year-old Jordan Bender and new addition Junior Urso find the back of the net. Both goals can be seen below.
If you're worried about us going 1-0 down to Tampa Bay, don't be. While they switched their entire starting Xl out at halftime, we kept many of the same players on the field. Their fresh legs up against our tired legs is probably what got them the goal. This is also a big game for Tampa Bay as they will want to prove that they got what it takes to face an MLS side, therefore they will be working extra hard, while we were focusing more on fitness. We still won the game and as of right now, we have nothing to worry about going into the new season.
