Daily Update: 12/6/2019

Big news day Orlando City-wise. Andres Perea was basically confirmed and German Cano took the next step towards leaving DIM. Let's dive right in.

Andres Perea

As I just said, Andres Perea was basically confirmed today. Another respected South American journalist (@pilarvelasquezv on Twitter) came out and announced that Andres Perea was "ready for Orlando City." He also confirmed what was reported yesterday, that the deal was a loan with an option to buy. To hammer home the confirmation, I posted a tweet saying "Welcome @andresperea06" and he liked the tweet. If you want to know my thoughts on that, go to the Andres Perea section here: https://www.oclionsblog.com/post/daily-update-12-6-2019

German Cano

The press conference I talked about yesterday happened and it was confirmed the Cano would not be returning. Something else for you all consider: his agent, Jose Canstanzo, is following Orlando City on Twitter. The interesting thing about that bit of information is he isn't following RSL, Vasco De Gama, or RSL, three teams that are also linked with him. I really hope he ends up in Orlando. Like really. Here's some context for you all who may be on the fence about getting him. He is 4th on the list of most goals scored in 2019 IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. He scored 43 goals in this calendar year. I don't care what league you're in, it is not easy to score a goal in professional soccer. Cano got 43 in 2019. He would be our Josef Martinez. Plus, we are in win-now mode and signing a ST of that caliber would really show our intent to succeed.

That's it from me. How are you guys liking the series? Let me know on my Twitter whenever you read this.
