Daily Update: 12/28/2019

There have been so many rumors to keep up with recently. Another one popped up out of nowhere today.

Claudio Baeza (@ResidentesF)

Another weird rumor popped up today. We were linked with Necaxa defensive midfielder Claudio Baeza. I'm not sure why we would want him unless we were replacing a certain Jhegson Mendez with him. He would not be cheap at all considering he just joined his current club this July. My guess is this rumor is his agent trying to get him a new deal and is using our team as the "interested party." I'll keep an eye out for more news but I doubt we see anything else regarding him.

Pedro Gallese (AVasquezzz90)

More reports have come out today saying that Pedro Gallese will be coming to Orlando City in the coming days. As the reports mount, I can't help but get excited about this transfer. There are lots of people who feel that GK is not a position of need but let me tell you what, Gallese would instantly be a top 5 GK in the league. He would win us multiple points a season and that is the type of player we need in order to push for the playoffs and possible success. Brian Rowe did his job considerably but we need better in that position and it looks like the front office agrees. If the reports are true, don't expect an announcement until after the new year as his contract expires on 12/31. All I can say is be excited about next season because I am trusting our new regime more and more by the day.
