Daily Update: 11/30/2019

Happy Saturday everyone. Not a lot going on today as we are in the depths of the offseason. No new rumors. No major updates. The only player we are linked with at the moment is Alan Pulido and it looks like every other club in the MLS is in for him. I'm surprised Inter Miami hasn't actually been linked as of yet considering they've been linked to every name under the sun. Maybe it's too realistic for them to be pursuing him (considering they think they'll be getting every European who's worth a damn).

Anyways, getting back on track, Pulido most likely isn't going to end up in Orlando, so I figured I would talk about a couple of players who might. Here are 5 players who I think we will be targeting this offseason.

(No particular order)

1. Jordon Mutch

I've already talked about him in my shortlist series but I really think he could be a great pickup for us. He would provide great depth in the central midfield area of the pitch, he already knows the league (played for Vancouver on loan), he wasn't insanely expensive ($284,000 guaranteed compensation), and he doesn't have a team right now. A close source of mine has said he has already signed with someone so it just remains to be seen who it is with. His agent has several MLS players so I wouldn't put us out of the conversation just yet.

2. Rodrigao

Santos ST who looks to be getting better and better by the season. His contract expires in 2021 so we could get him a little cheaper in the summer window, rather than the winter, but we do have a lot of cap room to work with so this could be a possibility.

3. Julian Quinones

Probably the most unrealistic of the bunch but he is coming off a horrible cruciate ligament injury. The RW is expected back in March, so he would be here for the start of the season. He's still very young at 22 and would be eager to impress teams in Europe. The best way to do that could be to move to MLS. His agent also has several players in the MLS. Could we be the team to allow him to revitalize his career?

4. Rogelio Funes Mori

The current Monterrey ST would also be insanely difficult to bring to Orlando. With 10 goals and an assist in 18 appearances, it would take A LOT of money to pry him away from Monterrey. Is that the type of funds we'd be willing to drop on a position where we currently have a DP. I don't know.

5. Daniel Hoegh

Finally, a CB. A bench player for the 6th placed Heerenveen in the Eredivisie. His contract ends in the summer of 2020 so he could be pretty cheap. He seems like the type of player who could link up well with Jansson in the backfield. Maybe playing time and a lucrative contract offer could see the Dane come to Orlando.

That's it from me guys. Let me know if you have any players you think we're looking at.
