Daily Update: 1/21/2020

It certainly wasn't as busy today as it was yesterday, which was a good thing as I literally worked for half the day and didn't see any news until I got home an hour ago. Let's talk about the little that did happen today.

Adam Grinwis (@SacRepublicFC)

Our beloved Adam Grinwis signed for future MLS side Sacramento Republic FC. I believe this is the smartest possible move he could've made as he will go there looking to earn the starting role and if he can hold that role down, he could potentially be their starting GK when they transition to the MLS in 2022. Adam would get plenty of game time to sharpen his game (something I think he has always needed) and would be entering his prime as they enter the league. Don't be surprised to see him again in 2022. Congrats on the move Adam!

Alex Castro (@Rene_Tovar)

It looks like the Castro to Cruz Azul deal is back on. It was a short pipe dream that we may enter back into the race to sign him and it looks like we will not be getting him... again. I wonder who the plan B is to Castro.
