Last night, Orlando City laid to rest our hopes and dreams for the 2020 MLS season. It was a short-lived excitement that was born in the hopes of signing winger Alex Castro, but now that those dreams have died, so has next season. In all reality, I'm just sad that we aren't going to be getting Castro as he will be joining Cruz Azul in Mexico. At the end of the day, they offered more money to both the club and player and that seems to have been the turning point. I'm quite annoyed at how public this was as I'm sure that played a role in Cruz Azul swooping in but that's the way the cookie crumbles. Maybe the front office has a good backup plan.
